Marquee week 2018

Well what a week! When you have an 80 ft marquee in school you really have to make the most of it. So, this is what we did:

On Monday the marquee arrived and the PTA held their summer fair.

On Tuesday we had a story telling festival; Marjorie our Patron of Reading told stories in the hut and Macastory performed all day in the marquee. Parents came along at 2.00 and were as entertained as the children were.

On Wednesday we had a Show in the Tent (like a village show) and staff, children and parents competed to see who had the best scones or craft items. 

On Thursday we were nervous but excited when we had our steel pans concert and children in Y2, 3 and 4 (and staff and parents) played pan for an audience of 250.  

And then on Friday we invited our grandparents in for a special assembly and then lunch. A fantastic week which couldn't have happened without the support of our PTA, our parents and our school community. Thanks to all of you.
