Lunchtimes

Gone are the days of lumpy mash and soggy cabbage! Our school lunches are delicious and freshly cooked on the premises. We manage the service ourselves and we are now able to give children a pre-ordered choice menu. Parents can register for log in details which enable them to choose a meal, see what their child has ordered and check recipes. Payments can also be made by direct debit (saves all that searching for change on a Monday morning!).

If you would prefer your child to have a packed lunch, at Holy Trinity we try to encourage healthy eating choices but we know it can be really hard to come up with new, healthy options for packed lunches. The School Food Trust website has some suggestions for packed lunches that you might like to try. To encourage healthy eating with our packed lunch children we ask that you do not give them fizzy drinks and only one ‘treat’ (chocolate crisps etc) a day.

You can opt for a mix of school lunch and packed lunch in the same week.

Free School Meals

An entitlement to free school meals will also qualify you for help with school trips and helps us because school have additional funding based on numbers of free school meals children.

Your child will qualify for free school meals if you are in receipt of one of the following:
• Child Tax Credit with NO Working Tax Credit (income below £16,190)
• Income Support
• Income Based Job Seekers Allowance
• Income Based Employment and Support Allowance
• Guaranteed Element of State pension Credit
• The Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
