Tour of Britain
It was amazing to be involved in the Tour of Britain cycling race. Stage 3 started in Berwick and the cyclists were ending up in Newcastle. Our children were the mascots for four of the teams and led the way in the ride out to start the tour stage. Class 3, 4,and 5 all came down to watch the start of the race. We have been able to talk to all the children about cycling and the event in general, raising the profile of cycling as a sport. Berwick looked fantastic and we all enjoyed being a part of such a prestigious event.
